With the Business Travel Accident Insurance Plan provided by Locke Lord, your beneficiary will receive additional benefits if you die in an accident while traveling on a business related trip. In addition, your spouse and children are covered if they are traveling with you on a business-related trip. This benefit is in addition to your Life and Accident Insurance.
A business trip does not include your normal commute to and from your office. However, if your normal transportation to and from work is disrupted because of a breakdown or strike, your commute would be covered. Business trips begin when you leave your home or office, whichever happens last, and end at your home or office, whichever happens first.
EMERGENCY EVACUATION SERVICES
In the event that you are involved in an accident or suffer a sudden, unforeseen illness requiring Emergency Medical Services, and adequate medical facilities are not available, ACE USA Travel Assistance Services will coordinate payment for a medically supervised evacuation to the nearest facility determined by ACE’s Assistance Provider to be capable of appropriate care.
